Ecco uses direct injection technology. Direct injection technology is when the upper part of the shoe (the upper, normally made out of leather) is placed in a mould before the sole is sprayed directly onto the upper part under high pressure. Using this unique construction gives Ecco shoes the aptitude to be lightweight and flexible, while still maintaining quality and durability.
