The goal of Munro American is to provide the consumer with shoes that feel comfortable and look stylish. In order for a shoe to feel comfortable the shoe must first fit properly. This is why Munro’s slogan is “Proper Size, Perfect Fit!”

What really sets Munro shoes apart from any of their competitors is that they provide sizes for not only average size feet but also uncommon foot sizes and widths. With Seventy-Five different combinations of sizes and widths Munro American is one of the largest selections available. This is why when these shoes are correctly fit, they feel great.

There are basically three aspects that Munro American looks at for the fit of their shoes: length, wide, and last.
Not all of the shoes will be available in all sizes, widths, and colors.

Length:

Munro American starts their sizes at 4 and goes all the way to 14. Sizes 4 to 12 include half sizes and after 12 come in whole sizes. (In other words Munro does not make 12.5, or 13.5.)

Width:

Munro American makes five different widths with the narrowest width being SS (AAAA), also known as a Super Slim or 4A, and the widest width being WW (EE), also known as Extra Wide or 2E. Below is a list of widths available by Munro and the corresponding letter name.

Super Slim - SS – AAAA – 4A – (Narrowest width made by Munro)
Narrow – N – AA – 2A
Medium – M – B – (the most common width for a women’s foot)
Wide – W – D
Wide Wide – Extra Wide – 2E – (Widest width made by Munro)

Last:

The ‘last’ is the mold that a shoe is made from that gives the shoe its shape and fit characteristics. If a certain shoe style fits, another style made on that same last will fit very similarly. Munro’s heel height is actually their last height. The heel height is an orthopedic measurement of the elevation of the heel above the ball of the foot.
